Okay, it’s Sunday, you’ve read the papers, washed the car and you think to yourself ‘Sunday bloody Sunday!’
If you feel like Alan, you’ll be please to hear he’s all set to make yet another comeback to alleviate your 7th day boredom, staring in 10 mini episodes available only on the internet.

Apple in sexy new iPods shocker

As reported here last week. Apple have announced their new music and media lineup for the next 12 months.
A revamped iPod Touch, a totally new iPod Nano and the much anticipated re-imagining of the Apple TV were all unveiled by Steve Jobs at the Apple press conference in San Francisco yesterday (1st September 2010).
The iPod Touch looks slick and now comes with the same Retina display screen boasted by the iPhone 4. In fact with the addition of FaceTime and a HD video camera, it’s now pretty much an iPhone 4 without the phone.

The Stig is revealed…

The BBC has today (1st September 2010) lost it’s attempt to block the release of a book that will reveal the real identity of The Stig from BBC2s Top Gear programme.
The High Court ruling is bad news for the BBC, who no doubt will have loads of Stig merchandising lined up to be released over the next few months to cash in on the busy Christmas shopping period.

Apple TV to be relaunched iTV?

A much rumoured press event to be held by Apple on September 1st 2010 could unveil their next planned assault on your living room.
As well as the now annual updates and revisions to the iPod range it looks like the California based computer bods are finally ready to turn Apple TV into more than just the hobby it’s been since its initial release way back in 2007.

Just a few days after Channel 4 began its ‘Coming Soon’ campaign for the all new 3rd series comes even better news for all you failed Rudge Park Sixth-formers, the much hyped film version is now all systems go as well.
The final stumbling block of Simon Bird’s contract has now been ironed out and the four amigos will head out to Malia in Crete in a few days to begin location shooting.

Return of the Skywalkers » Deleted Jedi scene revealed

Never before seen footage from 1983s Return of the Jedi has finally been revealed to a delighted audience of whooping Sci Fi geeks.
The deleted scene was unveiled at a Star Wars convention in Florida, USA to promote the upcoming Star Wars Saga Blu-Ray boxset. Saga creator George Lucas was joined onstage by Luke Skywalker himself ‘Mark Hamill’ whilst later on Princess Leia ‘Carrie Fisher’ also joined in the fun.
This scene is not exactly riveting but still fascinating due to its familiar but at the same time totally fresh feel.

So the Commumity Shield ended in an unusually good game, now we can finally turn all our attention to the main event with the return of the Premier League this Saturday 14th August 2010. Well we could if it wasn’t for a blooming annoying England friendly tonight at Wembly against Hungary. Who organised that farce?

In one word simply ‘Wow’! The Arcade Fire come back with their third stunning full length release in a row.
Following on from 2005s Funeral and 2007s Neon Bible, the Fire have decided to follow the path of further development and sonic progression rather than churning out the same old sounds and cashing in.
Not that it’s a totally new sound mind. It’s still distinctly Win Butler, Régine Chassagne and co.

Just when you thought you’d had a belly full, On Sunday 8th August 2010 it all kicks off again. Yes football is back and despite the awful gut renching feeling we all felt on the 27th of June, I can’t wait for more of the same.
So with great relish I’ll be watching at 3pm as Manchester United take on Chelsea in this years Community Shield.

Narrowing down this list to just 5 acts was incredibly hard. Many many acts were considered and many many hours were spent deliberating, just who has what Bruce Forsyth calls ‘It’!
