WARNING THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS…
So Series 5 is now all over, only 182 days til the Christmas special – yah! What a way to go, confusing as hell but utterly brilliant all at the same time. After the major shock ending of ‘The Pandorica Opens’ I was sceptical how they could conclude such an epic story without hitting the reset button that consistently plagued the Russel T Davis era. New head boy Steven Moffat however is a wyly old cookie and despite an awful lot of frantic timeline crossing antics he managed to surprise me but also lead me to believe that it was all totally logical and obvious at the same time, a rare gift indeed.
Twists and turns galore then, right form the kick off with the Pandorica opening to reveal… Amy Pond in place of the Doctor! The Doctor dying infront of himself,
Rorys 2000 year vigile over the trapped Amy, stone Daleks. The pace never let up. And like all modern cult shows it answered many of its questions but asked many more. River Song??? The mysterious voice in the TARDIS??? The Silence???
Plenty to look forward to with the Christmas special and Series 6 then. Doc 11 and Amy have now settled in nicely and with the added dynamic of Amys new hubby Rory (are they at it in the Tardis? Surely that can’t be right!) and the promised revelations of exactly who is River Song and what’s her game? I’m counting down the days already. Presents check, booze check, Turkey check. Bow tie on » Geronimo!
More Nintendo 3DS Rumours

So the Nintendo 3DS has finally been announced at this years E3 and so far seems to be more than meeting peoples expectations. “Wowzers”! is the word mostly used when trying to describe the first 3D gaming device that requires no silly eyewear to achieve it’s effect.
The question on everones lips now is how long until the launch day and how much cash do I need to be queing up with. Reggie Fils-Aime the Head of Nintendo America recently said on US TV that it won’t be out over there until early next year so most are asuming it will be the same here in the UK. I’m still not convinced by this I’m and banking on a pre-Christmas 2010 launch to satisfy my lust for this shiniest of shinny gadgets.
Lets hope it follows the same release path that its older brother the Nntendo Wii did way back in 2006, with a US release at the end of November, Japan in early December and the UK a week or so after, just in time for the Christmas rush.
Also the Wii launch dates weren’t actually announced until a few months before in the September so people shouldn’t start panicking about a lack of information in June/July. Keep calm and all will be revealed.
Although the desire to play all the great games Nintendo have lined up means keeping calm will be hard to do. Zelda Orcarnia of Time, Mario Kart and StarFox, all officially announced by the Big N and all in 3D, surely it seems just too good to be true.
